Vice Souletric wraps up VFP series in grand fashion!
It has been nearly 10 years since the release of Vice for President in which Vice Souletric made his solo debut. There was much deliberation on if the VFP series would end as a trilogy, but it would appear that the timing would be too perfect to deny the fourth installment. The completion of the album fell on the heels of possibly one of the most divisive elections of our generation. Not to mention the albums title track, produced by the legendary Pete Rock sealed the deal as a last minute addition. Vice for President 4 was aptly titled and officially released to the people on 9/17/24 just shy of the series 10 year mark!
VFP4 marks Vice’s 5th solo studio album with the omission of his production album “Passion Speaks Louder Than Words”. VFP4 is arguably Vice’s strongest work to date witch host a bevy of prominent features such as; Slum Village, RJ Payne, Elzhi and others. Surprisingly the album is not overshadowed by said features or diluted with some of the strongest and records being Vice on his own. “The Invisible Man” produced by Apollo Brown stands as one of Vice most popular and prolific songs to date. The high energy “Exorcise” is another stand-out in which Vice does his signature braggadocio over erie production provided by The Real Kareem. Vice also teams back up with Dj Flash (Little Brother/Justus League) on one of the most poinent tracks on the album “Million Dollar Question”.
Regardless of our bias, we are absolutely positive you’ll enjoy VFP4 and is certainly a contender amongst the releases in 2024. VFP4 is currently streaming on ALL DSP’s and is available for purchase on Vice’s solo Bandcamp profile if you want to support the movement.
